SFedU develops cooperation with Iran

Maxim Bondarev, Vice-Rector for Project Activities at the Southern Federal University, visited the Islamic Republic of Iran as part of the Russian delegation of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

The delegation took part in the 17th meeting of the broad-based Permanent Russian-Iranian Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak.

During the event, representatives of Russian universities signed a number of bilateral cooperation agreements with Iranian universities.

Southern Federal University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Allame Tabatabai University, which is aimed at developing cooperation in the field of social sciences and humanities. It is planned to implement joint educational projects, conduct scientific research, organize and hold conferences, seminars, master classes and other joint international events, as well as open language and cultural centers. Cooperation also involves the development of joint educational programs leading to the receipt of two diplomas.

Also, within the framework of the event, an agreement on cooperation in the field of academic exchange was signed between SFedU and Amir Kabir University of Technology. Within the framework of the agreement, it is planned to exchange students and teachers, implement special short-term mobility programs for academic groups and research teams, give lectures, etc.

In accordance with the program of the visit, the Russian delegation visited Sharif University of Technology and met with Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Zamanian.
