23-26th of October the annual international school IWSN-2018 based on IRC “Smart Materials" of Southern Federal University takes place. Bachelor, master, graduate students and young researchers, who undertake researches in the sphere of synthesis, diagnosis and computer simulation of materials, are invited to participate.
Leading foreign and russian specialists will give scientific-educational lectures for the participants of the school. It aims to create a platform for experience and knowledge exchange between young scientists and experts in the materials science.
Working language: English
The form of participation includes the presentation of an oral report in English. Researchers and student who would like to participate should sign up up to the 20th of September and submit thesis up to the 25th of September.
Among the lectures the professors of IRC “Smart Materials” and Institute for Mathematics, Mechanics and Computer Science of SFedU will give hand-on courses.
- Rietveld refinement of X-ray diffraction data from crystalline materials (А. Guda)
- EXAFS analysis of the local atomic structure around active catalytic centers (А. Bugaev)
- Workshop on electrochemistry techniques applied to catalysis (Т. Lastovina)
- Quantitative analysis of the XANES spectra with elements of machine learning (С. Guda).
