New Monograph of the Professor of SFedU Physics Department

18.06.2018

The new monograph "Piezo-active composites: Microgeometry-sentivity relations" was published by the publishing house Springer International (Switzerland). The authors of the book were SFedU Professor of Physics Vitaly Topolov, Professor of the University of Bath Bauen Christopher Rees, United Kingdom, and Bizenya Paolo, Professor of Tor Vergata University of Rome, Italy.

The monograph is essentially a continuation of the book "Piezo-Active Composites. Orientation Effects and Anisotropy Factors, published in Springer in 2014. The monograph published in 2018 pays great attention to the analysis of the relationship between microgeometry and piezoconcentration of modern composites, as well as the role of the physical properties of individual components in the formation of the piezoelectric response and a number of parameters of composits . In the new monograph, the data for four types of piezoelectric coefficients for composites with various connections are systematized for the first time, and the interrelations between various types of piezoelectric coefficients of composites are analyzed taking into account the specificity of their microgeometry. The considered examples of connectivity and effective properties are important to consider when selecting components and when creating new composites for piezo-technical and acoustic applications (converters, sensors, hydrophones, etc.).
The new monograph is included by Browns (United Kingdom) in the number of books for university students: http://brownsbfs.com/Product/Topolov-Vitaly-Yu/Piezo-Active-Composites--Microgeometry-Sensitivity-Relations/9783319939278
