23.05.2018

Employees of the "Smart materials" SFedU Center took part in Faraday Discussions, organized by the Royal Chemical Society from 16 to 18 May in London.

From 16 to 18 May in London, the Royal Chemical Society hosted the Faraday Discussion conference "Designing Nanoparticle Systems for Catalysis", in which three employees of the International Research "Smart Materials" SFedU Center took part. Leading scientist Carlo Lamberti and junior researcher Aram Bugaev presented their articles for discussion. Studies of the employees of Southern Federal University are devoted to the investigation of the structure of functionalized metal-organic frame structures of the UiO-67 family, as well as the nanocatalysts of palladium and platinum on carbon substrates. The results of the research are published in the articles that are available on DOI: 10.1039 / C7FD00224F, 10.1039 / C7FD00211D and 10.1039 / C7FD00214A.The active participation in the work on the publications of Smart Materials Center’s students Oleg Usoltsev and Elizaveta Kamyshova should be noted. At the poster session the research results were presented by a fourth-year student of the chemical faculty, working at the Center, Julia Pimonova, who won a prize from the Royal Chemical Society for the best poster.Faraday Discussions have more than a century history, and the magazine Faraday Discussions has been published since 1947. The first of the Russian scientists invited to the Faraday Discussions in 1889 was an outstanding chemist Dmitry Mendeleyev.
